Gendut 5 Menit is a film that produced by Gunung Slamet Film SHS 1 Bobotsari. This film directed by Eko Junianto and written by Tangguh Al Fatah. The film casts Aji, Wildan, Nurokhim, Feri, Trismo, Ipin, Decha, Ni Mahin, Ni Lutfi, and Harun. The main character of this film is Aji. Gendut 5 Menit takes the theme of medical. Gendut 5 Menit become the best short movie of the Medical Film Festival 2015.
The story begins when Aji, a student of JHS 4 Satu Atap Karangmoncol, always receive ridicule any longer, so he decided to buy slimming pills in the small shop. After arrive in his house, Aji takes the slimming pills directly. On the next day, when Aji will goes to school, his stomach hurts. But, when he weighs his weight, his weight apparently down. On the next day after he back from school, he come around in the small shop again. Aji talk to the seller if he stomach hurts. After say that, the seller precisely offers weight-loss herbal. The seller suggest Aji to mix the herbal with the slimming pills. Such as the seller's suggest, Aji takes the mixture of the herbal and the slimming pills. His weight come down gradual everyday. But, on the one day, Aji unconscious after several days takes the mixture.
Unlike the other short film that directed by Eko Junianto, Gendut 5 Menit has several moral value. Because in this film teaches us that the fatness isn't everything. We wouldn't trust the seller that sells slimming pills, furthermore without the doctor's receipt. That's a lot of risk to ourselves.
Overall, Gendut 5 Menit is an amazing film. The plot of this film easy to understand. This is a worthwhile film to see.
