Gendut is a 2015 Purbalingga film Gunung Slamet Film production. This film was directed by Eko Junianto and produced by Aris Prasetyo. The main player Gendut film played by Aji. This film takes the theme of health which tells the story of a fat boy (Aji) who wants to lose weight with cheap slimming drugs.
Story began when a fat-bodied student named Aji wanted to lose weight because he was always teased by his friends at school. He bought slimming drugs in the form of capsules at a cheap price. However, while on a diet, Aji was still snacking. On the first day, he took the medicine and he weighed 83 kg. On the second day, his weight dropped to 82 kg, but he felt there was a disturbance in his digestive system because he often went in and out of the toilet. He returned to the stall to ask the seller of slimming drugs. The seller said that the drug was reacting. Then the seller offers a slimming drug with a different form of powder. Finally, Aji also bought two kinds of slimming drugs namely capsules and powder at a low price too. Aji took the medicine by mixing it into one and mixed with hot water, then he checked his weight dropped to 79 kg. When he wanted to record his weight on a calendar, he felt dizzy and then lost consciousness. Finally, Aji was taken to the hospital.
When we see a Gendut film, we will remember a 1 Liter film, in which both films are directed by the same person, namely Eko Junianto. However, there is a difference between the two, namely the difference in theme and storyline. Gendut film tells the story of a child who wants to lose weight by taking cheap slimming drugs that have a bad impact on health, while the 1 Liter film produced by Aris Prasetyo tells about dishonesty of a petrol seller. However, both films equally provide lessons for the audience.
Very good! Gendut film taught me how important health is and taught not to be easily consumed by people's words.
