Gendut film is a Senior High School 1 Bobotsari film directed by Eko Junianto and written by himself. The film casts Aji, Wildan, Nurokhim, Feri, Trismo, Ipin, Decha, Ni Mahin, Ni Lufi, and Harun. It was released on 2015. The film takes the theme of public health.

The story begins when Aji, a boy who lived in Mount Slamet area, feels uncomfortable when other  people say that he is fat. Therefore, he decided to buy slimming drugs in a stall near his home. He took the medicine with great hope tomorrow his body will become slim. He recorded his weight that day in a calender, while continuing to eat snacks, he left his room. The next day, not slim that he got, precisely a very abdonmial pain and diarrhea. He thought something was wrong with yesterday’s slimming drug. Finally, he returned to the stall again and bought a more effective and mixed with slimming drugs that he drank yesterday. By continuing to eat snack, he rushed to his room and weighed the weight. Amazing! He lost his weight! But he lost his consciousness too until he fell in his room. His family panicked and took him to the hospital.

The moral value in this film is deeper than the film 1 Liter by same director. This film gives us a warning to be more careful in choosing drugs, especially slimming drugs. We must consume drugs with a doctor’s suggestion or prescription, so it is safe and does not harm anyone. The film that won the National Health Day Festival depicts the social life of the local community, they assume that medicines in the stall can be consumed wihout a doctor’s prescription.

Overall, Gendut is a work of extraordinary nation children. Rural background and the use os regional languages increasingly turn on this film. Moral massage in this film gives valuable lessons, this film must be wathed!
