1 Liter is a 2015 social film directed by Eko Junianto that comes from state senior high school 1 Bobotsari, Purbalingga, and written by Tangguh Al Fatah. The film casted by Andrianto and Prio Pambudi, as the main leads. The film was produced by Aris Prasetya, with an astrada by Trimo S. and a cameramen by Darminto Yahyo. The movie is based on daily life and takes the theme of social phenomenon and daily life especially in prural communities.
The story began when there is a senior high school student who rigged seller station retail (Prio Pambudi). When he bought 1 liter of gasoline with a price Rp8.500. But, he just gained half a bottle of the reason for the seller in the speeding ticket police as buy gasoline, because of that, the students seems feel dissapointes due to the gasoline is only a half of bottle. Then the next day, the student wants to buy gasoline again, with full bottle of gasoline, makes the student feels happy but only for a few seconds. The price also increased become Rp10.000. The student surprised and feels more dissapointed but, the student have no choice therefore He keep buy it.
Until at one day, the students annoyed with the seller station retail (Andrianto) because the price is fickle with a variety of reasons. In the end, the students prefer to push the motorcycle to the gas station rather far than to buy gasoline with the seller whose cheating.
1 liter film shows a phenomenon of everyday life that we often face it. In it, there is also a message that we can take, namely how we can be wise in using subsidized fuel. Do not abuse the use and distribution to consumers. In the story, the student displays the respons of someone cheated by the seller. As if he is expressing it in real life as we often deal with. 1 liter films seems intentioned to criticize the life in the village, sellers who reduce the amount of product in order to receive more gain.
When we saw this film, we will remember the photography of the 1 Liter, which is directored by the same super direction, Eko Junianto, but, 1 Liter is different from Gendut 5 Menit. The film of 1 Liter has better, clearer picture, sound, and lighting than film Gendut 5 menit.
Overall, 1 Liter movies is an excellent short film in Indonesia. The movie display the phenomenon of daily life in the village. On the other hand, we also learn a lot about how life is full of deception. Full of conditions and expressions set forth in real life.
