1 litter is 2015 indonesian short film, directed and written by eko junianto. The film cest andrianto and Priyo pambudi. The film takes the thame of social and economic in Serang, Karangreja, Purbalingga. The film created for pertamina festival.
The story begain when priyo want to buy gas in the seller, Rp 8.500 for half of bottle. That’s to expensive for premium gas. He complain to the seller about the price. Then the seller explain it to priyo. The seller said he caught by police and he had forfeit for his mistake that make the gas expensive to get back his money. But, Priyo need the gas so he agree to bought gas from the unfair seller.
The second day, Priyo the student want to buy the gas again. His scooter has empty of gas. He urge the scooter to the seller and buy it again. Because of he complain to the seller about the gas, the seller reprice the gas. Rp 10.000 for 1 bottle gas. There was a debate, Priyo still complain about the price, but he still buy the gas.
The third day, Priyo want buy the gas again. The gas back to first price coz yesterday Priyo complain again. The seller explain again with same reason. He fell cheat by seller. So, this time he didn’t want to buy there anymore. The seller has offer for him but He declined it. Finaly Priyo urge the scooter to gas station to get fair price of gas.
When we see the film, we remember the plot of 1 litter, witch produced by the same director eko junianto. But, “1 litter” is different from “gendut”. The story of 1 litter is about corruption that the seller do for his costumer and the story of gendut is about how dangers medicine if we eat it without recipe of doctor.
Overall, 1 litter film is an brilliant short film that learn us to be good person, don’t take chance of narrowness. The film is good with traditional backsound make the film impressed hutment and take us to there. It is excellent short film.
